Learning Agreement:

This Learning Agreement sets out what you, as the participant, can expect from our Cultural Business Development Programme, and what is expected of you in return. It will ensure that we work together to maximise your personal and professional development, sectoral impacts, and collective peer learning. 

You agree to:

  • Attend and actively participate in all 12 sessions within your allocated cohort (including two in-person days - if you are unable to attend a specific session please inform our team in advance).

  • Complete all preparatory tasks and evaluation requests on time, including pre- and post-programme evaluations.

  • Contribute to peer learning by sharing your experiences, insights, and challenges in a respectful manner. 

  • Use the learning to strengthen your practice.

Code of Conduct:

All participants agree to the basic code of conduct agreeing to arrive to sessions punctually. Whether face to face, or online, you agree to:

  • listen to and respect fellow participants at all times, value and take fellow participants contributions seriously

  • respect fellow participants right to personal privacy

  • treat fellow participants fairly and without prejudice or discrimination

  • respect differences in gender, sexual orientation, culture, race, ethnicity, disability and religious belief systems, and appreciate that all participants bring something valuable and different to the training

  • challenge discrimination and prejudice

  • support fellow participants to speak out about attitudes or behaviour that makes them uncomfortable.

Attendance:

  • You are expected to attend all sessions for your cohort. Transfer between cohorts is not possible.

  • If you are unable to attend a specific session (for example, due to illness) please notify the Curated Place team at the earliest opportunity.

  • Repeat non-attendance without discussion may result in your withdrawal from the programme.

Access and Support:

  • If you have access requirements or anticipate any barriers to participant, you will notify us before the first session.

  • There was an opportunity to outline access requirements at application stage - you only need to tell us again if there are changes or updates you think we should be aware of.

  • We are committed to working with you to find practical solutions to support your full participation.

Evaluation and Data:

You will participate in:

  • Pre- and post-programme surveys and tasks to self-assess your skills, knowledge, and confidence. 

  • Reflection activities and peer sharing sessions.

  • Feedback to help us report to Creative Scotland and improve future programmes. 

  • All personal data will be handled following GDPR guidelines and used solely for program improvement and reporting to funders.

By completing the “Acceptance of Place” form you confirm that you understand the commitments above and agree to engage with the Cultural Business Development Programme 2025.
